Remembered Today:

Belgian refugees in the Netherlands

Looking for something totally non-WW1, I came across this footage about the one million Belgian refugees who had fled to the Netherlands in 1914.

Among those refugees were 35.000 soldiers. Although the soldiers were placed in camps, thousands of them made it back to the front. Eventually a 100.000 Belgian civilians remained in the Netherlands until 1918.
