roel22 Posted 26 November , 2007 Share Posted 26 November , 2007 Looking for something totally non-WW1, I came across this footage about the one million Belgian refugees who had fled to the Netherlands in 1914. http://geschiedenis.vpro.nl/artikelen/37805717/ Among those refugees were 35.000 soldiers. Although the soldiers were placed in camps, thousands of them made it back to the front. Eventually a 100.000 Belgian civilians remained in the Netherlands until 1918.
