I posed this query when the forum was in its early stages with a much lower membership, without success and am now hoping that someone may be able to help.

I have the full service record of the man I am researching for a friend due to the fact that she is the next of kin.

My query relates to his posting at the time of his death in 1924 having served in the Batt. from 1907 in UK, Malta, N.China, India, Afghanistan (3rd Afghan War 1919), Palestine & Egypt before returning to India.

At the time of his death he was acting as a PSI to the 3rd Batt. Allahabad University OTC.

I have twice written to the University but alas have not received any response.

Has anyone any knowledge of this unit?
