SpiderRAR Posted 21 November , 2007 Share Posted 21 November , 2007 Hi all, Charles Reid, L/CPL, 13582 King's Own Scottish Borderers, 2nd Battalion Born Galashiels, Selkirk Enlisted Jedburgh, Roxburgh Residence Jedburgh, Roxburgh Died 25 Sept 1916 Killed in action Theatre France & Flanders I can't locate any further info on this soldier, I was after a date of birth and info on what the 2nd Bn KOSB was up to on the 25/09/1916 the opening day for the battle of MOVAL, Somme. Details Surname REID Firstname Charles Service Number 13582 Date Death 25/09/1916 Decoration Place of birth Galashiels Other 2nd Bn. SNWM roll THE KING'S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS Rank L/Cpl Theatre of death F.& F. SNWM gives a further 15 men killed on that day. Battle of Morval, attack on Lesboeufs Battle of Morval.
