Cnock Posted 16 November , 2007 Share Posted 16 November , 2007 Hello, I am looking for more info concerning Lt. William Morley KENT, 60 Sqn KIA 21/2/1918 in a SE5a ( claim Lt. R. Klimke - Ja 27) Regards, Cnock
APW Posted 17 November , 2007 Share Posted 17 November , 2007 Cnock He was from Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada according to CWGC. He is mentioned specifically in Scott's book about 60 Sqn although there is a slight discrepancy in dates. He was credited with two claims both of which are described. The first on 18 Feb 1918 a Fokker DR1 N of Handzame where four of the Sqn took on four Triplanes and claimed three crashed. The second the following day an Albatros DVa (D4495/17 Puttkamer taken POW) when Kent took a long shot at 400 yds and the EA caught fire and landed behind British lines(an unlikely success but the book notes that Bishop did something similar in 1917).
