stephenh Posted 19 January , 2004 Share Posted 19 January , 2004 At present I am researching 2958 Lance-Dfdr. Fatch Khan, 36th Jacob's Horse who was awarded an Indian DSM during the Great War. Would anybody know where citations are available as I am stuck as to where to look. Stephen
Glosters Posted 20 January , 2004 Share Posted 20 January , 2004 From 'The Indian Distinguished Service Medal' by Rana Chhina: "Many Great War citations, including those pertaining to post-war operations in Kurdistan, Salonika etc, may be found in the OIOC records of the British library in the U.K." In the book your man is listed as: 2958 Lance-Dafadar Fateh Khan. 362/1919 (Died 23.11.18? Regtl. No. 2858, PTm). 36th Jacob's Horse. Theatre: Egypt. Steve
stephenh Posted 20 January , 2004 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2004 Steve Thats a great start, thank you. I'll certainly have a look through the OIOC and see if I can locate my man. Could be an interesting project. Stephen
