Hi

Can anyone help out on a long shot here please?

Whilst browsing in a antique shop i came across a postcard written by a Cadet Edward Head at no 15 ?? training school saying he had just passed some flying exams

Has anyone come across him as a pilot subsequently

The postcard was dated summer 1917.

I have found an Aussie Sgt Edward Head who became Lt RAF on the MICs .

Thanks

Ady

He would be listed in the Army List on completion of training. The online MICs are Army records, so he might not have a card; the RAF ones have not been released to the public yet.

Think i have found my man ...He was in the Australian Flying Corps joined 1914 -Service number 9....Served 68 Sqn AIF

Just seen his record online he transferred to the RFC Back end of 1916 and subsequently commissioned into them 1917 and then RAF.

So is he your Aussie sgt from the MICs? His RAF service record will be offline, on microfilm at Kew. His RFC ones are the same search as for army officers.
