A friend showed me an album belonging to Lt Whitfield RFC/RAF.

It covers his career in photos from the Warwicks to being on the staff at Hucknell.

Some photos are have captions on them.

The section which covers France/Belgium includes, amongst others, an ariel photo of Mons, and a photo of Portuguese pilots.

There is a section of photos of pilots including Lt Vane Tempest and a later newspaper cutting from the 30's covering a murder case in which his identity was used by someone else.

There are photos of the staff at Hucknell with their names including OC's. The OC's are

Major C H Hayward

Capt. Pryn ( not sure if this is right because of handwriting)

Capt Palt MC ( again not sure because of hand writing)

Another pilot who was at Hucknall was Lt C H Witty. There's a photo of him as a potrait and also a group shot of a concert party.

I have found the MIC's for Whitfield and Witty, but dont know about the rest. Does anyone have any info I can pass on?

Cheers

Baz

RAF officers service records are in AIR 76, at Kew: offline and in alphabetical order on microfilm.
