andy17191 Posted 24 October , 2007 Share Posted 24 October , 2007 Hello all, I have a mic for my g.g.uncle, which says 1st Prov. Co. RE. I'm assuming this is 1st provisional company royal engineers. Can anyone confirm this, and tell me anything about them? My man's mic has him enlisting 21/11/1898, and discharged sick (KR 392 XVI) 10/04/1916. I have a record of him marrying in Malta in 1908. Any clues as to his service (including possible Boer War service)? Thanks Andy
