Rory Reynolds Posted 19 October , 2007 Share Posted 19 October , 2007 Hi all I'm trying to find out more about a 2nd Lieutenant Francis Wroth, RAF. I have very little to go on other than that he was born in about 1900. I can't even find his Gazette entry when he was commissioned so any help would be appreciated. Rory Reynolds Posted 29 October , 2007 Author Share Posted 29 October , 2007 I'm resurrecting this request as no reply, thusfar, has been received. Is their any Pal out there who can shed some light on this chap please? I am at my wits end with trying to "interpret" the Gazette. Rory Reynolds Posted 29 October , 2007 Author Share Posted 29 October , 2007 It is indeed him - thanks very much - now to track down his commission in the London Gazette. This is the area where I find myself "challenged"! I have his British War Medal and it is impressed to 2/Lieut. F. Wroth R.A.F. - There is thus no doubt in my mind that he was commissioned but, again, the entry in the LG eludes me. Regards Rory
