A Seller on a (well known !) auction site asserts that this man was killed at Gallipoli but is commemorated on the Basra Memorial. SDGW states killed Mesopotamia. Can any experts confirm.

According to Brigadier James book British Regiments 1914-1918; " 9th Service Batt 24.6.1915 sailed from Avonmouth. July 1915 landed at Gallipoli. Jan 1916 to Mudros and then to Egypt. 16.2.1916 embarked at Suez. 28.2.1916 landed at Basra. July 1918 with 39th Bde.Transcaptia;Krasnovodsk. Ralph.

Is there a scan error on the date of death - 1916 instead of 1915?
