Can anyone give any info. on C.H. Butler who served with 9 Sqd. and 209 Sqd.

I understand that he claimed a Gotha bomber downed for his one and only claim.

Any info. welcome.

Hi,

On 7/7/1917 (German raid on London) , Squadron Commander C.H. BUTLER, based at Manston, claimed a Gotha, that crashed at sea, 20 miles westward of Ostend.

I'm sure you already know. Major Butler was the Squadron Commander of 209 Sqdn.

when Capt. Roy Brown was credited with shooting down
