simb Posted 8 October , 2007 Share Posted 8 October , 2007 I have just come across a distant cousin, one Harold Norrington, http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_detail...asualty=2755012 that has presented a bit of a puzzle. I can find no reference to a HMT Cardiganshire, I assume no hostile activity in Feb 1919. Would a death cert be issued in Canada if he died on the ship from, say, illness or accident? Sim.. historydavid Posted 8 October , 2007 Share Posted 8 October , 2007 Sim, Your relative is included in the CWGC list of MM & MMR Buried Dead for WW1 and it states he died of meningitis and is buried in Dartmouth (Christ Church) Cemetery, Nova Scotia, Canada. Best wishes David
