HI

I WONDER CAN ANYONE HELP ME I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTOGRAPH OF MY GREAT UNCLE ARCHIE LYNESS PHOTOGRAPHED IN A DRESS UNIFORM, WOULD ANYONE WHAT REGIMENT THIS WOULD BE, HE IS ALSO PHOTOGRAPHED WITH HIS BROTHER THOMAS LYNESS , ARCHIE WAS A Sergeant IN THE 16TH BAT R.I.R , WHERE WOULD HE HAVE EARNED HIS STRIPES BEFORE 1914.

I have inserted not a good photo of his cap badge.

I cannot help you but if you posted a close up of the cap badge there are lots of collectors on the Forum who will identify it in seconds.

A bit of a blast from the past, but I reckon the badge is East Lancashire Regiment.
