'The Proud Trooper' is a history of the Ayrshire (Earl of Carrick's Own) Yeomanry from the 18th century to 1964, with a large section covering 1914-18 from mobilisation, to Gallipoli attached to 52nd Division, then to Egypt for Canal defence work and trouble in Palestine, and finally on to F&F (now rebadged as part of 12th Btn Royal Scots Fusiliers) in 1918.

I am doing some research on the towns and villages of Ayrshire, during 1914-1918. If this is a published book, I would be interested to know if there is an ISBN Number. And where best to look for it.

Regards

James

James - my apologies for not noticing there was a reply here until today!

I've sent you an email with details of the book, but just for general information I've found the website www.abebooks.com very helpful in tracking down second hand books.
