GraemeClarke Posted 25 September , 2007 Share Posted 25 September , 2007 Gents, Looking for assistance with, Herbert Henry ANKRETT, Second Lieutenant 107 Squadron, Royal Air Force Died on Thursday 11 July 1918 From local papers he was an observer in an a/c (possibly a D.H.9) that was brought down by AA fire. Stebie9173 Posted 25 September , 2007 Share Posted 25 September , 2007 The 3 claims of Jasta 29 on 11-7-1918 were: Ltn E Siempelkamp at Molembaix at 9.15am, Ltn H Nebelthau at N Marquain at 9.15am, Vfw G Wackwitz at Pecq nr Tournai at 9.20am. 107 Squadron lost 3 DH9s that day: C2182, 2/Lt J D Cook & 2/Lt H H Ankrett, both KIA C2183, Lt R A Arnott & 2/Lt H R Whithead, both WIA & POW D5647, 2/Lt A T Simons & Lt T F Blight, both WIA & POW Source: Jasta War Chronology.
