Dolphin Posted 12 September , 2007 Share Posted 12 September , 2007 Graeme Lt Herbert Cook (formerly Canadian Infantry) was killed in an accident when flying Sopwith Camel B5156 of No 70 Sqn RFC on 17 October 1917. The aeroplane spun in after take off. No 70 Sqn was based at Poperinghe aerodrome at the time. Lt Cook was a native of Walsall in Staffordshire, and was aged 27 at the time of the accident. I hope that this is useful. Gareth

per ardua per mare per terram Posted 14 September , 2007 Share Posted 14 September , 2007 His Canadian papers will show his details up to the time he was transferred to the RFC. As the only case I've looked at was an other rank, he was fully transferred; so I'm not sure what happened with officer's on attachment. http://www.collectionscanada.ca/02/020106_e.html
