Dolphin Posted 3 September , 2007 Share Posted 3 September , 2007 Cnock 2Lt F W Nisbet and AMII Percy Edward Knightley (45071) of No 46 Sqn RFC were killed in an accident while flying in Nieuport 12 A3274 on 14 February 1917. mickdavis Posted 5 September , 2007 Share Posted 5 September , 2007 The recent C&C book Nieuports in RNAS, RFC & RAF Service (plug) gives A3274's details as follows :- A3274 ex 9218. 46 Sqn Wyton by 8.16. 1 AD for 46 Sqn by 21.10.1916. 46 Sqn dd ex 1 AD (Lt Heath/Sgt Moyes); force-landed after engine failed 1.11.16 (Lt Heath/2Lt Banbury OK) and vict on Artillery Obs 5.2.17 (Capt GM Boumphrey/Capt F Findlay WIA but destroyed an Albatros D.II near Ypres) then crashed on test flight 14.2.17 (2Lt FW Nisbet/AM2 PE Knightley KIFA).
