Not to my knowledge. There are very few civic memorials (if any) within the then city boundaries.

Of course, there may be ones in churches and the like - have a nosy at the UK Inventory website.

I came across a picture of the war memorial on the corner of lees street and abbey hey lane in openshaw, I will post a scan of the photo tomorrow when I am on the scanner,

the photo is in a book of openshaw by jill cronin and frank rhodes

you sounded so enthusiastic, I went and scanned it now, the picture isn't clear enough to make out all the names and I have added the caption, I don't know if the memorial is still there but my husband reckons it is, I will try to have a look when I am down that neck of the woods, if I can do want a better picture of the names assuming it is still there,
