thankyou david and kath, below his mid on his service record it looks like a ship called hmt benton something and mentions their lordships and sinking of this ship, i just thought it might be some thing to do with his mid but that was in galipolli because it was in london gazette for galipolli campaign, i wondered why this would be mentioned otherwise, any help appriciated, regards, john
