She seems to have been laid up at Portsmouth in the early part of the war and then became a depot ship at Portland for the Auxiliary Patrol from 1915 to 1920 when she was sold out of the service. Built 1888, displacement 520 tons.

She was built as a paddle survey ship. She may have visited the Humber in that capacity (pre-war?) but I have seen no record of her being there between 1914 and 1920. That is not conclusive, of course.

Thanks again. I have a photograph taken in Hull of a chap with this on his cap tally so thought there may be a connection.
