Hi

The history of the London Scottish is available from two prime sources

- the main history of both battaklions, was edited by Lt Col J H Lindsay (editor) in 1925; it is known as "The London Scottish in the Great War" and is currently publsihed by Naval and Military Press).

Mark Cox has produced a small book, which builds on the offical record but also has more personal insights through diaries and letters from members of the battalions. It is called "The London Scottish in the Great War" and was publsihed in 2001 by Pen and Sword Books.

Nether mention Baxter in their main index

Chez,

Mark Lloyd (not Cox) is the pen name of the curator of the London Scottish Regiment's small museum and archives. I will be happy to forward your e-mail address and enquiry details if you wish.

Regards

Guy
