Martyn Gibson Posted 2 January , 2004 Share Posted 2 January , 2004 Whilst reading through Christmas Truce by Malcolm Brown and Shirley Seaton I came across an interesting snippet of information about Pope Benedict XV how he intervened between the German and French Governments about the exchange of Prisoners of War. 1. Is there a good reference to read up on this either in a book or on the internet? 2. Did the Pope try any other initiatives during the War? Thanks for your help Martyn
