Bob Coulson Posted 2 January , 2004 Share Posted 2 January , 2004 Have come across numerous examples of casualties who are on the CWGC registers but not on Soldiers Died CD. However I am now looking into a man who is on the CD but not CWGC. Details are, 2nd Lt Henry Bell, 8th battalion Yorkshire Regiment. He was wounded at the Battle of the Menin Road in September 1917, dying of his wounds on October 17th 1917. Anyone come across this before, any ideas? Would be grateful for any help/info as I am looking for his grave site. Bob.
Myrtle Posted 2 January , 2004 Share Posted 2 January , 2004 Bob You will find that Henry Bell is listed as Thomas Henry Andrew Bell on CWGC. Myrtle
Bob Coulson Posted 3 January , 2004 Author Share Posted 3 January , 2004 Myrtle, Thanks for that, I suspected other forenames but all the info I have gathered on him so far only mentions Henry. Many thanks for your efforts. Bob
