girlywhirl Posted 19 July , 2007 Share Posted 19 July , 2007 Hello everyone, just discovered this forum and it looks great. I am looking to find out info, or where to obtain info, on the H.M.S Diana. My wife's g,g,granfather Albert Frederick Stokes was the Chief Cook on the Diana from the start of the war until he died of Heatstroke on 23rd August 1915. He is commorated on the Plymouth Memorial. Albert joined the Royal Navy in 1898 and I have a copy of his service sheet. He was on the H.M.S. Diana from 31st July 1914. Anyway, all I have on the ship is a small picture and a brief history. Does anybody know how I may find out the whereabouts of the Diana on 23rd August 1915, and where she served up until then? His death certificate or service sheet did not state where he died. Any help will be gratefully recieved. Cheers. Chris

Le Fleming, Diana was with the 12th Cruiser Squadron in 1914. In 1915 she went to China, later going to the East Indies Station. Hope this helps, ARABIS.
