CWGC added the following 'new' WW1 casualty to its Debt of Honour database today – Wednesday 18th July.

Lieut-Commander Philip Henry WHITE

Royal Navy, HMS Vernon

Died 03.12.16 Age 37

Buried: Portsmouth (Eastney) Cemetery, Hants, UK

NOT FORGOTTEN

This non-com was found by accident by GWF member, daggers, and put forward to CWGC/MoD on his behalf on 12.03.07. See this thread…

Probably cos this forgotten officer is buried just down the road from the Naval Historical Branch! They don't want any bad publicity so close to home...

Nevertheless, well done to all concerned...
