Jesse Posted 20 June , 2007 Author Share Posted 20 June , 2007 Hello Jesse Adm. Horace Lambert Hood. Capt. Hood was in command of the Royal Naval Colledge, Osborne Oct. 1910 - Jan. 1913. Regards John Thanks John. I was trying to timeline a letter from him with the RN College letterhead, dated Nov. 11th, but without a year, so it is most likely 1910 or 1911. I do recall his being made Admiral in 1913, do you know what date?

Jesse Posted 21 June , 2007 Author Share Posted 21 June , 2007 Jesse ... What is your interest in Loftus Jones? This same letter opens with "My dear Loftus", so I was curious as to whether they were, in fact, friends and associates before the war. I don't have an envelope with this letter, so it's not clear as to who it was sent to, but the name Loftus in naval circles seems likely to have been Cmdr. Loftus Jones, or the Admiral Loftus Jones, who died in 1912. Hood mentions the golf games they used to play together, and that his game is improved.
