Guest Hussar Posted 29 December , 2003 Share Posted 29 December , 2003 Have a look at Ebay Item number: 2214266214 . He/She has just copied and pasted straight from the Mother site! All Chris's links are still there, but non functioning as they're non ebay. Did he/she ask permission? He/She could, at least, have given some acknowledgement to the site somewhere in the posting. hmsk212 Posted 29 December , 2003 Share Posted 29 December , 2003 I agree what cheek but, and I quote, " plagiarism is a form of flattery" It is such a shame that credit wasn't given as it may have led to even more members joining and getting a lot out of this great site. Chris_Baker Posted 29 December , 2003 Share Posted 29 December , 2003 Thanks for the alert. I've emailed the seller, who is in breach of copyright, on a friendly basis, asking them to add a credit. Interestingly, they have used a rather old version of the page. I've also emailed eBay to determine their policy/liability on such things.

Jonathan Saunders Posted 10 January , 2004 Share Posted 10 January , 2004 Chris what was the upshot of this as I occasionally find some words I have "published" on the net about HMS Vanguard "stolen" by ebay/speedbid traders - which really annoys me if I am interested in the lot but outbid. Jonathan Saunders Posted 10 January , 2004 Share Posted 10 January , 2004 Sorry - missed the post where it said they have now made a credit to this site. That will teach me to pay attention!

Chris_Baker Posted 10 January , 2004 Share Posted 10 January , 2004 Only because a forum member mailed me and I contacted the seller.
