SiegeGunner Posted 8 June , 2007 Share Posted 8 June , 2007 Don't worry - Siege Gunner will be along soon with his famous discourse on the subject of whether central or local government had the most effective paper clips during the late 1980s. Fascinating stuff. Sorry, but I wasn't involved in paper-clipping — we had a clerical support person whose job it was to do the paper-clipping (and stapling) and un-clipping, and the collection, sorting and re-boxing of recycled clips (and rubber bands). Things have moved on since the 1980s, though, and I gather he is now head of the IT department.
Pete1052 Posted 8 June , 2007 Share Posted 8 June , 2007 Before this thread I knew Mick to be a translator and editor of some merit, but I never realized he was also a noted subject matter expert on paper clips, staples, and rubber bands, or their use and abuse by HMG. If he gained expertise on the recycling and reuse of paper clips he might be a good candidate for employment by HMG as a "green" advocate of some sort.
