I'm currently researching a relative, George Thomas Gill who served as a Carpenter on No.36 Training Squadron at Montrose and No.26 Training Depot Station Edzell.

Does anyone have any info on either of these establishments, particularly the types of aircraft used?

Also does anyone have any idea if, as a Carpenter he would have been directly involved with the aircraft themselves? Any gen very gratefully received. Many thanks.

Pete Allam.
