CSG_Smolders Posted 4 June , 2007 Share Posted 4 June , 2007 Fellows: I live in Stonewall Manitoba, this is the town where Alan MacLeod was born, lived and died. http://www.constable.ca/mcleod.htm First, I am campaining to have the middle schools named changed to recognise this local hero. Centenial school is just not cutting it for me. Second, if there are any of you out there that might want pictures of his home or something I might be able to get for you please drop me a line and I'll do what I can for you. Muskoka Posted 4 June , 2007 Share Posted 4 June , 2007 I think it's a bit ironic that I just posted something about McLeod on June 1! See Ironies of War and Life ! Hmm, the link doesn't seem to work. So look under Chit Chat.
fitzee Posted 5 June , 2007 Share Posted 5 June , 2007 CSG Smolders, Alan Mcleod is a true Canadian hero.Alan was a good friend of my Grandfather. They trained at Camp Borden together and graduated in the same class with Don MacLaren and Bill Claxon. I applaud your efforts to rename the middle school for him. Goodluck with that!
