Muskoka Posted 28 May , 2007 Share Posted 28 May , 2007 I'm reading "Your Daughter Fanny: The War Letters of Frances Cluett, VAD" and she mentions having 3 inoculations over a period of days, under the collarbone, which were quite painful. This was in Newfoundland, 1916, before she was sent to Britain. Newfoundland wasn't part of Canada then, but still a British colony. Can anyone tell me what the inoculation was for? She mentions having had all her vaccinations up to date previously, so was this for typhoid or...?
