All I can come up with is the allowance given to Stoker Ratings who where in sole charge of engines over 100HP, this being on small craft not part of a ships fit. The allowance was 6d per day. Regards Charles Charles Definately SU the s looks like an 8 though. AD 14.11.96-7.10.04 Stoker through to Acting Cheif stoker. SU 1.1.96-30.6.06 Stoker through to Acting cheif stoker.
