Muerrisch Posted 22 December , 2003 Share Posted 22 December , 2003 Short answer to a difficult subject: say "mobilized". Applies to TF. Whole units only, not individuals. Long answer available! [term is historical and was applied to Militia before TF]

Muerrisch Posted 23 December , 2003 Share Posted 23 December , 2003 Not sure about embodied applying to whole T.F. units only, have seen the term disembodied on Soldiers M I C for his discharge, pourquoi ? Manual of Military Law 1914 page 764/5 makes it clear that embodiment and disembodiment is a unit function for "all or any part of the Territorial Force". Where a complete unit was stood down at or after the war's end, I suppose disembodied is a fair term on a soldier's documents ....... I have seen it myself.
