ttd0 Posted 21 December , 2003 Posted 21 December , 2003 As a few forum members are probably aware I have recently been helping my father to clear out my Gran's house as she has moved into a home. A few weeks ago my father uncovered two medals and this weekend we have uncovered some cards sent home from the front in 1917. One card has an embroidered artillery gun on the front with the number 25 written on it (any significance ?) and the flags of the allied nations around it. The back is signed by my Great Uncle who served in the Royal Artillery as a driver and was wounded (his medals were the ones found). There are a whole box of these cards and also a 1919 peace mug. Let me also take this chance to wish the Pals Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2004 Tim

Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 21 December , 2003 Posted 21 December , 2003 If it was 75 and not 25, it would probably be a French silk showing a 75mm artillery piece.
