pandabean Posted 4 May , 2007 Share Posted 4 May , 2007 Hi, I am wondering if anyone out there can help me pinpoint William Greenlees in his last few days. I have been reading the Btn War Diary for April 1916 and have the following information. "The Bat moved from Sailly and too over from the 19th Batt Dur. Light Inf. trenches N10.1 inclusive to N 10.5 inclsusive. (nice Bde Trence Map Area M. Sheet 36). The 17th Lanc. Fus were on our right and the 16th Roy. Scots on our left." On the left hand side for places it has: Sailly (Sheet 36) Area. M. (Sheet 36) Does anyone know of this area and if there is a map of the trenches somewhere? The word inclusive does appear twice on the WD. Thanks, Andy
