Please could some kind soul enlighten me as to the 3rd Bn CGs actions on 9th Sept 1914.

War diary extract would be great. Thought I had that diary but can't seem to locate it at present.

SEPTEMBER 1914

Also this month another Stansted officer was wounded, he was Claude Stewart JACKSON (see October 1917), who was also serving with the Coldstream Guards. The wound, which occurred on September 8th, was caused by a bullet grazing his head.

Just looking to see what was going on when the above happened (posted about him on a recent thread of yours)

My greatuncle was killed on the 9th September 1914 at the action in Boitron while serving with the 3rd Coldstreams
