bigronhartley Posted 4 May , 2007 Share Posted 4 May , 2007 Hello Chris, Thanks for posting your portrait of Arthur Barraclough 1898-2004, you've really captured his character. Which Battalion of the Duke Wellington's Regiment did he serve with in the Great War. Regards Ron
Chris Foster Posted 4 May , 2007 Author Share Posted 4 May , 2007 Hi Glyn & Ron, Glyn, I don't have any new ones at present, I tend to draw when I get the inspiration and then post them straight away. Ron, Arthur served in both the 1/4 and 2/4 Territorial Battalions Duke of Wellingtons if my memory serve's me well. Thanks Chris

Gunboat Posted 9 May , 2007 Share Posted 9 May , 2007 absolutely brilliant work. What media do you use? Looks like soft graphite pencil to me but can't tell clearly.
Chris Foster Posted 9 May , 2007 Author Share Posted 9 May , 2007 Hi Gunboat, Thank you very much, I tend to start with a F pencil for the basic sketch, and then anything from 4B up to 9B for the detail, I always try to buy Derwent Graphic pencils as I think they are of good quality. I also from time to time use Charcoal and chalk. Regards Chris
