Lopcombe Corner

Looking at Lopcombe Corner, I was wondering if anyone knew what buildings were there? Was it the usual 2,2,1,2 hangar arrangement with the same workshop etc structures as Old Sarum/Boscombe etc?

Also when did it close and what was the function?

OK as compensation a photo of the Horsea Mere power house.

Known locally as Jack's Bush, which is in Hampshire. Lopcombe Corner itself is in in Wiltshire, There were six hangars for aircraft and two (hangars?) for stores, an aircraft repair shed and two motor transport enclosures covering 29 acres (which information complements Mick's). It was a very dusty airfield. A few small sheds still stood when last I was there c1998.
