steve4969 Posted 22 April , 2007 Share Posted 22 April , 2007 I wonder if some kind sole would help me find out about my G greand father i'm afraid i dont know much as he didnt survive long after the war had finished. so there hasnt been much passed down, He was born Daniel Scott Dick, 13 March 1887 in Perth Scotland, I have been told that he could have been in the navy as he was injured in an explosion on a ship and transported to another ship heading home after which the original ship was lost with all hands, what is unclear is whether it was a hospital ship in the first place and he was a wounded soldier? if any one has the ability to do a search or point me in the right direction i would loved to get this cleared up as his son who is still alive at the age of 85 and i would love to be in the position to tell him some details about his father Thanks Steve
Coldstreamer Posted 22 April , 2007 Share Posted 22 April , 2007 cant see a soldier with this name on the ww1 medal cards or the navy ones - bit not used the latter before so could be wrong!
