john gregory Posted 22 April , 2007 Share Posted 22 April , 2007 Hi, exellent photo, Lt.Tom Powditch, middle row, came from Belper, Derbyshire, and came up through the ranks. Major Kerr led the carrying party on 1.7.1916 at Gommecourt, he came from Melbourne, Derbyshire and lived at Melbourne Hall. A friend of mine has Lt. Col. Beaumont-Checkland's medals. All are included in my book on the 5th Battn which is now being published. John
