Hello Chaps ; info required please on RNR Service Record of the following.

GRAINGER Henry Harry RNR ON ? DA9382 Born 1880

Ship on hat that may be seen RESE - thats all !!

RNR Bods in PRO ?? Suspect he was `Special Service' / HMT etc.

All info appreciated,

His number suggests he was a Deckhand in the Royal Naval Reserve (Trawler Section). He would wear a Cap Tally 'Royal Naval RESErve'

The RNR ratings' Record Cards have been filmed and are available at the NA but NOT on-line. The original cards are now held at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, where photocopies (usually better) may be obtained. Use whichever is most convenient to you.

The RNR medal rolls are in ADM 171/120-124(alphabetical order) and service cards in BT 377/7(service number order) at Kew.
