Excellent work Soren! :)

I wonder from some of your ealier images of the ghosts of the dead visiting the Vimy Memorial etc. what the 'ghosts of the Mesopotamia Campaign' would make of the state of the Basra cemetery? Certainly makes me think of one of my granddad's second cousins, Thomas Philpott, who's buried there.

cheers

Soren - Very well done! Great choice of subjects and I like your wash technique very much!

All the best,

Dan

Is there any type of memorial to the missing out there? I could probably do something with that

Hi Soren,

Yes there is, the Basra Memorial - I think there are posts relating to this elswhere on the forum (and possibly links to some pictures). As I understand it Saddam had the memorial shifted stone by stone into the desert - it still exists as such but is in a heck of a state.

cheers

Steve
