hello, could you please help me again. i would like to obtain my grandfathers service record. i am going to kew soon and is there any advice you could give me regards this visit. he served in both world wars , firstly on the halcyon2, colonia and braconlynn to my knowledge in ww1 and as c.o. on the hmt glow and hmt montano in ww2. any advice would be very helpful and any further info. on any of these ships especially the hmt glow would be very welcome. thanks again for all your help regards john baxter

John, some details which may help

HALCYON 11 Trawler, built 1898, 198 tg, Requisitioned into Fishery Reserve 1917-19.

COLONIAL ! Drifter, built 1908, 84 tons, Requisitioned 1915-19. Served as 'Eastern Dawn' in WW11.

BRACONLYNN Trawler, built 1913, 206 tons, Requisitioned 1914-19. A/P Vessel 12.39 - 40.

MONTANO Trawler, built 1917, 269 tons, Requisitioned as A/P YT 3.42. Fuel Carrier 3.44 - 1.46.

GLOW Port Reg. FY964 (Fowey) Admiralty Steel Drifter, built 1918, 96gr, Reqisitioned as M/S 12.39 - 11.45.
