gnr.ktrha Posted 18 March , 2007 Share Posted 18 March , 2007 Hello, I read in the local newspaper that a Wilfred Baker had died aged 106 in Dunfermline, earlier this month. It said in the newspaper clipping that he had joined the RN aged 18 and had fought in both world wars. Has anyone lse heard about him? Regards, Stewart

gnr.ktrha Posted 18 March , 2007 Author Share Posted 18 March , 2007 Hello, Just found the article, it was in the Dundee Courier dated 7th March 2007. In it it states he retired as a Lt. Commander in 1948, that he was 18 when he joined up and that he fought in Both wars! It also states he was originally from England, but does not say from where No other details regarding service given. Stewart
