Have had a WW1 British War Medal to J 51051 Able Seaman Charles Edward Ramsden who was from Wyke, near Bradford,Yorkshire, for some time.He started off as an Ordinairy Seaman and became an Able Seaman on the 16/10/16,He served on a vessel for which the accounting base was HMS Diligence (WW1 Submarine Depot Ship) however I can,t make it out just HMS ....ful (could be V or R).His sub-rating was Coder 1.12.17 and qualified Coder 1.10.18,certainly unusual.Any help much appreciated Bob. :)

The information that I have shows HMS Diligence to have been a WW1 Destroyer Depot Ship and at this time DS for the 12th Destroyer Flotilla.

Mindful was part of that flotilla at Jutland.
