Within days the Tsar has fallen. The Russian Revolution, perhaps the most important revolution of all time and one of the Great Wars most enduring legacies, has begun. Take on me Posted 10 March , 2007 Author Share Posted 10 March , 2007 Yesterday's weather notes in The Times explains how the weather played a part in the timing of the Revolution, 1916-17 being a particularly severe winter, and an extreme case of the North Atlantic Oscillation. Times Weather Eye Furthermore it would be a slight improvement in the weather that brought out the crowds during the revolutionary days, between the 8th March and the 16th the weather was warmer and sunnier instead of the usual Russian cold.
