Just to let those of you who keep an eye on this memorial that Charles Frederick Morris of the SS Alaunia has been removed from the Tower Hill Memorial as his grave in Liverpool has now been recognised as his true place of commemoration

Additional information: Son of the late C. F. and Eliza Morris; husband of Regina Morris (nee Casey), of 56, Mulgrave St., Princes Park, Liverpool. Born at Warwick.

N.B.: The grave of 2nd Steward C F Morris was located in December 2006. Also commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, London, his name will be removed when the panel on which it appears is next replaced.

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: C.E. Sec. 2. Grave 612.

Cemetery: LIVERPOOL (TOXTETH PARK) CEMETERY

Remember that his name will not physically be removed from the memorial until the relevant panel is replaced - probably many years hence.

However, his official commemoration has moved.
