Starlight Posted 21 February , 2007 Share Posted 21 February , 2007 Hi, I am trying to find out the movements of lieutenant Ernest Walter Dexter. He enlisted in the army at the start of the Great War, transferred to the RFC as a 2nd Class mechanic and eventually was commissioned as lieutenant and gaining his pilot's wings. Can anyone tell me which squadron(s) he flew with during the war? Regards Steve

Starlight Posted 22 February , 2007 Author Share Posted 22 February , 2007 Thanks Bob, At first I thought the W E Dexter you mentioned might not be the same man so I did a search on the National Archives website against the WW1 Campaign Medals dataabase. Only one Dexter came up with the initials E W and there was none for W E, so I guess he must be the same person. Thanks for your help.
