helen2807 Posted 16 February , 2007 Share Posted 16 February , 2007 Please can anyone tell me which unit of ASC this chap served with? As he had pre war service - he enlisted Warwick 6th March 1912 - would his service record have been treated differently to those who signed on for the duration only or would it be pot luck as to whether it survived? thanks Helen Military_Card_3_.pdf

helen2807 Posted 19 February , 2007 Author Share Posted 19 February , 2007 Thank you both for your help. My contact sent me copies of other papers for this chap who served as a butcher whilst in the ASC (at least that's what it says on the discharge paper). She also sent a photo of the chap in front of the pyramids sat on a camel....don't know when it was taken but he's wearing his 14 Star ribbon and is by now a corporal. His cap badge is not clear but it looks like a fat, 8-pointed star. Also, the chap has 3 chevrons on his cuffs - what does that mean? Thanks again Helen
