andy1400 Posted 7 February , 2007 Share Posted 7 February , 2007 After going through my local paper for 1944 I found an entry about the death of Mrs Hankin-Hardy, apparently she was the last European survivor of the siege of Ladysmith. On trying to find out more about her I came accross a Mrs Hankin-Hardy who was a nurse in Serbia during the First World War. I am hoping to tie the two in together, I am pretty sure with that surname it would be the same. She died in Raunds, Northants and her husband was a Church Minister. Any help very much appreciated. The newspaper article was the only thing that I could find on the web and yet she seems to have done so much I thought there would have been more. Thanks again Andy
